The Savarese family is a Sailfish dual console family through and through. Their first Sailfish was the 245 dual console and their second was purchased this summer, the all-new 276DC. It was a great upgrade for the Fairhope, AL family that regularly cruises and fishes across the Gulf Coast.
Their 276 otherwise known as, Hail Mary B III, was purchased from Grander Marine in Orange Beach, Alabama. Chris Bazor, is their go-to sales consultant at Grander Marine that has become a close friend of the family.
“Chris’ knowledge of the Sailfish product was incredible. Chris took us through every nook and cranny, explaining the ins and outs of each Sailfish boat,” said Becky Savarese.
Originally, the Savareses purchased their first Sailfish, the 245DC, to cruise the coast and hit the occasional offshore water for deep-sea fishing. Little did they know, their boating adventures would come to mean so much more.
“During quarantine, our boat gave us the opportunity to get out of the house as a family. It is easy to avoid the large gatherings and crowds when you are in the gulf! We have made so many new friends out on the water and made memories we will cherish forever!” said Savarese.
They upgraded from the 245DC to the 276DC almost one year to date – which is great for their active family. The hardtop keeps the family out of the sun whenever needed. The freshwater shower and plush lounger seats add that extra level of comfort.
Those kiddos, Mary Bealle and Steven III, enjoy all the family features that are packed into the 276DC. “Mary Bealle and Steven love using the dive door and fold down seats to jump off the boat, as well as the bow table for eating their favorite snacks.”
“Steven and I love the true versatility of the 276DC. Whether running offshore to catch red snapper and amberjack or taking the family to crab island for the day. Our boat gives us what we need and want in a boat a wide beam for easy and comfortable maneuverability, a dry soft ride, a high freeboard for safety, and ample storage with easy access – the 276DC does it all for us !” We love all the features that the dual console offers us. said Becky.
Mobile Bay and the Alabama Gulf Coast set the ideal scene for a top-notch boating lifestyle. The Savarese family loves docking out of Fly Creek Marina and hitting Mobile Bay. Typically heading southwest to Dauphin Island, where they enjoy anchoring off of the beaches and where the family can play on the beach and lay out in the sun.
“If we are looking for more of an adventure, we head southeast to meet our friends at Pirates Cove or Tacky Jacks on the intercoastal.” Savarese mentions.
Pirates Cove is a Gulf Coast staple and known and loved by many. Live music, great cheeseburgers, and even better bushwhackers! If you haven’t visited, add it to the top of your next vacation list.
When asked what their top tips for their Sailfish boating lifestyle are, the Savarese Family shared this:
1.) The hardtop is massive – don’t forget about the wind!
2.) Buy the beanbags! Put the kids on them under the hardtop after a long day on the water. You’ll appreciate us for this one!
3.) On choppy days, you will be thankful you have the stability and construction of a Sailfish underneath you. Weight and size really do make a difference.
