This largest offering to date from Sailfish is a versatile offshore fishing platform that will appeal to the boating family who likes to split time evenly on the water between fishing or diving and cruising and relaxing. The Sailfish 320 CC was designed to spend all day Saturday battling offshore gamefish and all day Sunday cruising with the family on the inland waters and it proved to be equally up to the task at both endeavors on our test days. Notably, the 320 CC ride on the offshore test grounds was easily the softest and driest ride we’ve experienced on any of their models. This is partly due to the size but not entirely. The Sailfish VDS (variable deadrise step) bottom design features a bottom angle that changes progressively at each strake forming a Gull wing shape that terminates at the down angle chines. This hull style provided the 320 CC the ability to run remarkably softly in the 3-4’ seas while keeping everybody on board dry from every angle of attack into the seas.

As a family cruiser, amenities such as comfortable forward seating with convertible forward facing backrests and a removable dining table provide a good staging area for lounging at the sand bar. A filler section with cushions can be added to convert the bow seating to a full sun lounge as well. An additional 58” wide seat is located in the cockpit and folds away easily when not in use or for fishing. Extremely comfortable luxury helm seating for two, converts to accommodate a standing, seated or leaning position for the wheelman and one passenger. An enclosed head with nearly 6’ of headroom in the console features a freshwater sink/shower and plenty of storage space when not in use. Two other shower nozzles can be found in the cockpit at the helm station aft and on the transom for divers exiting the water.

For the angler in the family the Sailfish 320 CC is not lacking in features most consider mandatory for serious fishing. An easy 360-degree deck layout to navigate in rough seas features three large insulated fish holds below deck including a pair of 260-quart boxes forward and a larger 320-quart hold in the aft cockpit as well. A 30-gallon LED lighted live well is standard at the transom and an additional 35-gallon well is available inside of the helm/leaning station. The gunnel height provides a secure feeling for rough conditions while still offering access to the water within easy reach for a gaff. The transom platform features a pass through door with the Sailfish “Wave Guard Step” to keep water out of the boat while open and divers may utilize a 4-step boarding ladder to load into or out of the boat easily.

Some recent improvements have been made to this model including upgraded upholstery choices, a newly styled curved Hard Top and larger dash face capable of handling two large MFD screens adjacent to a smart head up orientation for engine instrumentation. Add up the remaining list of standard amenities from lighting to hardware, rod storage to trim features and combine them with a nimble, soft riding Carbon/Kevlar hull and it’s easy to see why this model will appeal to existing Sailfish owners and newcomers alike.
